KNB Women’s College shines in Assam University Results

Srigouri, Badarpur, Karimganj, November 11, 2022: Overcoming all the barriers of female education, girls of Khairun Nessa Begum Women’s College, Bardarpur have come out with flying colours in the TDC Final Examination-2022 conducted by Assam University Silchar. The KNB Women’s college has earned the glory of becoming the best performing college with the highest pass percentage among all the 55 affiliated colleges under Assam University in the recently declared results.

Twelve students who have done outstanding results have been felicitated in a colourful function organised in the college premises today. Shri James A Songate, APS, Dy. Superintendent of Police (Security and Intelligence), Karimganj District graced the felicitation ceremony in presence of Dr Bhibahs Dev, Academic Advisor, KNB Women’s College; Dr AH Barbhuiya, Academic Director, ERD Foundation; Dr Sana Sidduiqi, Principal of KNB Women’s College along with faculty members, students and staff.

Promoted by ERD Foundation, Guwahati, KNB Women’s college has been showing excellent performance in every academic session and recently two of its students namely Ms Shamima Begum Choudhury and Ms Shamima Hasan Laskar fetched both 1st and 2nd position of the university respectively in Bengali Hons in the UG level.

While congratulating the achievers, Mr James appreciated the efforts of ERD Foundation for providing with best infrastructural and teaching learning facilities in the such remote areas and as a result the girls from even the backward areas are now able to come out with such results, who are otherwise deprived of quality education. He applauded the Chairman of the Foundation Mr Mahbubul Haque, for making a revolutionary change in the entire educational ecosystem particularly in the rural areas of Barak Valley.

The twelve successful students who have been awarded today are: Mashuda Roushan, Shamima Khatun, Begum Afruja Sultana, Mazida Sultana, Mahmuda Kawsar, Nargis Parvin, Khalida Parbin, Mumina Sharmin Tapadar, Shahina Begom, Ruma Khanom, Nazira Begam and Fahima Begom.
